Where Trailer 1 was a place, Trailer 2 is a relationship. Released four days after the first delay announcement, it carried the biggest single info payload in the project’s history — a second named protagonist, official character pages, and six named regions. Here’s our full breakdown, fact-fenced as always.

Embedded from Rockstar Games’ official YouTube channel.

The story setup, in Rockstar’s own framing Confirmed

Jason Duval gets his name, his bio and his half of the poster. The official premise: an easy score goes wrong, and Jason and Lucia land in the middle of a criminal conspiracy spanning the whole state of Leonida — forced to rely on each other more than either planned. It’s the most explicit Bonnie-and-Clyde framing the series has ever used, and it’s Rockstar’s language, not ours. Both leads — plus the six named supporting characters the site update introduced — are profiled on our characters page.

”Trust?” — the exchange that launched a thousand theories

The trailer’s final beat: Lucia asks “Trust?”, Jason answers “Trust.”, and they walk into a store robbery together. Two-player-character crime as an on-screen fact is officially shown. Confirmed

What the community built on top — a real-time switching wheel, dual-control heists, a trust meter with mechanical consequences — traces back to reports and leak analysis, not official material. Unofficial Plausible? Very. Confirmed? No — and we’ll flip the badge the day Rockstar says otherwise.

Six regions, officially on the map Confirmed

The accompanying site refresh named Leonida’s regions outright: Vice City, Leonida Keys, Grassrivers, Mount Kalaga, Port Gellhorn and Ambrosia. That single list did more for honest map coverage than three years of blurry “leaked map” JPEGs. We’ve reorganized our entire map page around the confirmed six — original planning canvas, official names, clearly separated.

The texture pass

Beyond headlines, Trailer 2 quietly confirmed tonal range: swamp airboats at golden hour, a gulf-side working coast, high-rise glamour and pawn-shop grit, storm light over the ocean. It reads like a region showcase in disguise — one shot per biome, if you’re keeping score against the official region list.

What we’re still not repeating

Frame-analysts have extracted claims about interiors counts, wanted-system details and mission structure from this trailer plus the 2022 leak’s long tail. Whatever their hit rate, they’re analysis, not announcement Unofficial — the What We Know page keeps the two piles visibly separate, and our fake-leak field guide explains the sourcing standards.
